The City has gone through a very bad patch of electricity outages and power surges.
I had been in constant contact with the Member of the Mayoral Committee, Cllr Mfikoe as well as other senior officials from City Power to bring the dire situation to their attention and to get their assistance in solving the problems.
They are thus acutely aware of what has been happening on the ground and are trying their best to put processes in place to prevent such occurrences in future. I have been ensured by senior management that a team will be on duty during the holidays and that prompt reaction will be taken if outages should occur again.
I am attaching a claim form which you can use to claim for damages sustained by surges. You can submit the claims directly or go through your insurance companies.
