This morning January 16, 2014 Maruschka Robinson and Jean-Pierre Malan, two of the suspects charged in connection with Dustan Blom’s murder appeared in The Randburg Magistrates Court, where the case was postponed until March.
Senior prosecutor Yusuf Baba addressed the court, detailing how two men broke into an investigating officer’s home, possibly looking for case dockets.
He said therefore four members of the tactical response team were present in court this morning to boost security.
Blom’s decomposing body was discovered in the boot of his car in the parking lot of Montecasino in September last year, his body had been dumped two previous to it being discovered.
The 36-year-old father of two was last seen at a restaurant in Olivedale, leaving with an unknown woman, later identified as Maruschka Robinson.
