The Take Time & Shares Smiles campaign exceeds fundraising goal.
The Marketing team at Fourways Mall is pleased to announce the successful completion of its recent Share Smiles fundraising campaign, the aim was to raise enough money to grant Christmas wishes to four kids living with Cancer. The campaign ran from Monday 11th November 2013 until Sunday 15th December 2013.
Ayanda Milazi (4), Layla O’Neill (4), Tiffany Milan (2) and Vearin Naidoo (2) are the four children affected by Cancer and that were chosen for the Campaign. Ayanda and Vearin were both diagnosed with Leukemia, Layla has been diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer called Ependymoma and Tiffany was born with a primitive neuroectodermal tumor.
The month long campaign helped raise R25,500.00 which Fourways Mall matched with another R25, 500.00 Marketing Manager Marjike Arran said “I am extremely proud that our shoppers have embraced this campaign, which has made it possible for the families of these four brave children to have others make their Christmas a little special”.
This campaign is a signal to our community and to the rest of Johannesburg that Fourways Mall is indeed worthy of great philanthropy in the hardships faced by these four families”
Lynette Robinson, Centre Manager of Fourways Mall delivered an important message: “There are hundreds of children in our community that suffer from Cancer and need help with continuing to live a normal life”.
Mrs Robinson went on to emphasise that the successful development and growth of the campaign effectively proved that we can help them deal with the challenges that lay ahead of them, Christmas baubles made it possible to grant four Christmas wishes and more for these four heroes, and we are extremely proud.
We’d like to thank our Tenants who came on board for the four kids, “says Arran. “Pentravel for sponsoring 2 flight tickets to Cape Town for Ayanda, Kids Couture and Edgars have sponsored an outfit for each child, Rain and Spur who also all showed their support for the cause.”
