This afternoon, Saturday 23rd November 2013 just after 2pm, EMER-G-MED’s M07, RV06, V01, V02, TM01, A06 and I01 as well as multiple other services responded to reports of a multi-vehicle collision on the N1S after Allandale.
Paramedics arrived on scene to find that four cars had been involved in the collision, it is alleged that a car slammed on brakes causing a car to go into the back and another two cars also rear-ended each other.
Eight people sustained minor-to-moderate injuries and another sustained serious injuries, including a possible fractured femur.
All patients were treated and stabilised on scene before being transported to various near-by hospitals. Six of the nine patients were transported by EMER-G-MED.
JMPD were on scene to investigate the cause of the collision.
