The Douglasdale Police and Community Policing Forum hosted an awareness campaign on Saturday, 1 March on the corner of Witkoppen and Leslie Roads, Fourways.
Residents in the area were encouraged to participate in the campaign by visiting the team of SAPS personnel and CPF members. Both Crime Line and Crime Stop attended and assisted the public by answering any questions they may and educated the public on how they can be involved in combating crime.
The objective of the day was to increase awareness of the CPF and the SAPS in a manner in which residents become comfortable with communicating directly with either the SAPS or the CPF.
SAPS horses were onsite as well as the SAPS Casper vehicle – which provided the perfect opportunity for the younger members of our community to interact with the Police.
