Arguably one of South Africa’s best-loved bands, Watershed, is back in 2014 with a brand new single, ‘Don’t Give Up’. The first single to be released from the band’s forthcoming album, will be the 5thsince Craig Hinds started Watershed back in 2000.
‘Don’t Give Up’ is the simple but powerful message. Hanging in, despite the ups and downs life throws. There is always ‘one more mile to cover, one more fire to fight’, but digging deep means, that on the other side things will look brighter and have more worth as a result of the hard times endured. The song is backed by elements of a gospel choir, adding further inspiration to the already powerful message in the lyrics.
The single was produced by JB Arthur and Craig Hinds, who has maintained his position as the band’s front man and pianist for the last 14 years. The other band members are Howie Combrink on drums, Gideon Botes on guitars and James Sunney on bass.
