Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the R511 William Nicol Road in Diepsloot on Thursday evening.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus and motor vehicle had collided head-on resulting in sixteen people sustaining injuries ranging from moderate to critical.
“All the injured people were treated on scene before they were transported to hospital for further medical care”, said Santi Steinmann of Netcare 911.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject to a police investigation.
