Two suspects age between 37 and 39 years will appear in the Randburg Magistrate Court within forty-eight hours, facing charges of being in possession of car breaking implements.
“Yesterday, Wednesday, 28 May 2014 at approximately 7.05am, the police received a tip off about the suspects waiting to strike any unsuspecting motorist who lock their vehicles using remote controls without testing their doors before leaving for their daily activities at Ferndale, Randburg CBD”, said Warrant officer Johannes Maja of Randburg SAPS.
The police acted immediately on the tip off and arrested two suspects who were found in possession of gate remote control, jamming machine plugged on the cigarette lighter, different number plates and other breaking equipment.
Investigations continue to determine if the suspects are not connected to other crimes around the area.
