One year in and getting better with age, the ground-breaking Soweto Art & Craft Fair is on again on Saturday, 7 June at the Soweto Theatre. This event was founded as a non-profit organisation aimed at providing an accessible space for artists and craftsmen and women to show and market their goods to the public. It is sponsored by Concerts SA.
With winter in mind, Jozi Unsigned in partnership with Concerts SA are proud to bring to the Soweto Art & Craft Fair stage a heart-warming line-up featuring a cappella icon Samthing Soweto, enchanting indie-folk artist Msaki and introducing eclectic new band Family.
Doors open at Noon and entry is free.
Performance times:
Family (14:15 to 14:45);
Msaki (15:00 to 15:50); and
Samthing Soweto (16:00 to 16:50).
Thanks to the introduction of the Rea Vaya BRT buses, the Soweto Theatre is easily accessible from most parts of central Johannesburg. Routes and times can be found at www.reavaya.co.za.
