Lonehill Fire Station bunnies need your help

The Lonehill Fire Station is home to close to 200 bunnies. Unfortunately rabbits breed like – rabbits. With an ever expanding population, the bunnies have already spread to other parts of Lonehill and are being run over on our roads.

At the end of February Cristina Botef started an extremely aggressive sterilisation program to prevent further breeding. So far 169 bunnies have been sterilised! Financial assistance is however needed to complete the sterilisations and also to repair and improve the enclosures. Please reach deep into your hearts and pockets to help the Fire Station bunnies!

You can follow their progress at www.facebook.com/LonehillBunnies

Lastly, from Cristina and her team of volunteers, a special thanks to the super vets at both Lonehill Veterinary and Crowthorne Veterinary. Thanks also to Pick n Pay Lonehill and the Lonehill Shopping Centre.

The team of volunteers are also looking for someone to sponsor the printing of a banner and t-shirts for the volunteers. Fencing material for the enclosures is also needed. If you can assist with any of these, or would like to make a financial donation, please contact Lisa de Kock on 073 219 6338.
