This evening EMER-G-MED’s M07, M06, RV6, A02 and A06 responded to reports of a taxi crash on the R511 outside Diepsloot Shopping Centre, in Diepsloot.
Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a car had collided with a taxi that was performing an illegal U-turn causing it to overturn.
16 people sustained minor-to-moderate injuries, and were treated on the scene before being transported to hospital by EMER-G-MED and provincial EMS services.
EMER-G-MED transported a total of eight patients with minor injuries to Tembisa Hospital.
JMPD as well as the SAPS were on scene to investigate the cause of the collision.
