The search operation at the old Soweto power station building which collapsed last month, may resume later this week.
On Friday, another body was retrieved from the building, bringing to five the number of men who were killed.
Five others made it out alive.
The building crumbled, allegedly while a group of men was attempting to steal cables and metal from it.
The police’s Kay Makubela says the rubble is likely to be removed early next week, and officials will go in once it is safe to do so.
He says, “Indeed there will be a resumption of the search again after they have removed the rubble where we will send the police dogs to do the search of the bodies. If there are any we can’t rule that out as there are still families who are saying that their family members are trapped at the building.”
