The Mrs South Africa pageant at Emperors Palace, the pageant’s official host, on the 8thof August was a star-studded affair that had the audience on the edge of their seats in anticipation waiting for the winner to be announced.
Ursula Chikane, the MC for this year’s affair took to the stage as a vision in gold and presented the evening with poise and grace. The Johannesburg Ballet Company and The Muses, a dynamic musical ensemble, had the audience in awe with a magical display of energy and excitement bringing fantasy to life.
This year the pageant decided to spice things up a bit, taking a fresh approach to the direction of the spectacular production. Previously the show took the form of a 4-hour gala dinner, whereas this year’s 90-minute extravaganza was set on an angelic white stage, which added to the glamour and allure of the evening. . The end result was a unique and breathtaking celebration of this year’s Top 22 Finalists.
These 22 women from all corners of South Africa, all of them extraordinary – whether they are wives, mothers, successful businesswomen or all of the above. These Bona Fide women captured the audience’s hearts on the picturesque stage and revealed their devotion to making the world around them a better place.
The expert judging panel included: Cindy Nell Roberts (Former Miss South Africa and Principle Judge), Simba Mhere (Top Billing presenter), Lourine Wannenburg (Owner of Eden moon productions), Marelize Steyn Earle (Former Mrs South Africa), Joan Ramagoshi Madibeng (Former Miss South Africa) and Vuzi Zwane (Emperors Palace Executive).
Says Joani Johnson, CEO of the Mrs South Africa pageant, ‘each year the caliber of contestants that enter Mrs South Africa is significantly higher, introducing us to inspirational women from all walks of life. It has been incredibly difficult to select a winner from this phenomenal group of ladies, but after a tough judging process, we are thrilled to be announcing that the winner of Mrs South Africa 2015 is Sarah Kate Scott from the North West. We wish you the utmost success on your journey’.
Mrs South Africa 2015 Sarah Kate Scott (30) from Hartbeespoort in the North West is a married mom of 2 children and is a successful business owner of a bespoke gifting company. ‘It has been a lifetime of events building up to this moment. I couldn’t be more thrilled and honored at being crowned as this years’ winner’, says Sarah
Sarah walks away with an outstanding prize package valued at over R500 000.
Runners up to this year’s title were chosen as Riana Mooi (41) from Roodepoort Johannesburg and Mirell Ventura (26) from Northcliff Johannesburg.
