SPCA Vereeniging had an awful case some time ago where a dog had acid thrown over her body and was left to suffer without any treatment for more than a week, the owner will be appeared in the Vereeniging Magistrates Court on March 6, 2014 on charges of animal cruelty.
The owner was arrested on March 23, 2013 and the dog removed. Unfortunately they were not able to help the dog due to the severity of the wounds which were on her whole back, snout, tongue and internal organs.
Well done to the volunteer Senior Inspector Jaco Pieterse who testified at this case.
