The world’s best young golfers ages 5-18 descended upon Scotland for the prestigious U.S. Kids Golf European Championship this past week. Approximately 550 players from 42 countries competed in this European premier junior golf tournament to showcase the next generation of stars.
The talented young Gauteng golfer Kaiyuree Moodley in Grade 7 at Crawford Preparatory Lonehill finished second out of 31 girls, in an amalgamated age group which combined girls aged 13 and 14 which means that she was one of the youngest players in this division.
Kaiyuree also qualified to represent the International Team which played against Western Europe – the Van Horn Cup. Not only did Kaiyuree win her match, the International Team won the event. Principal Dean Marsh congratulated Kaiyuree on her remarkable achievement and wished her well for her future in golf.
