Today August 21, 2014 Londoloza Protection Group took part in a high visibility police operation with Honeydew Police Station and other security companies.
About 20 vehicle were deployed from Honeydew Police Station at 10am this morning and went to the corners of Hendrik Potgieter and Doreen in Ruimsig. They searched taxis and drivers looking for any suspicious items such house break-in tools or firearms.
The operation then continued to Strubens Valley where officers again searched taxis and suspicious vehicles. One vehicle had three sets of registration plates and what could be house break-in tools. The driver was arrested by SAPS.
Then the entourage headed to Golden Harvest Park, as vehicles approached one man started running away, police and security officers gave chase on foot and in their vehicles, the suspects tried his best to get away running through traffic, narrowly missing being hit by a car.
One of the Londoloza Tactical Reaction Officer’s caught up with the suspect and tackled him to the ground. He was arrested by SAPS. Two other men were arrested for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
