Gala Dinner and Five-Star Entertainment
Abraham Kriel Childcare annually hosts the Stars for Charity Gala dinner in aid of the education and development programs of 1000+ children and youth. These are vulnerable children desperate for intervention due to being orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, or being destitute as result of abuse, molestation or abandonment.
This year’s event takes place on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 7pm at Ellis Park, Johannesburg (Secure parking and patrolled access from M2) , with the theme being ‘Forget Me Not’.
The modus operandi is to Invite Celebrities representing the sport arena, the TV soapies, musicians , Beauty Queens etc etc to support our cause by attending the event with a partner as guests of honour. We annually manage to have 50-70 Celebrities collaborating to make this evening work. Then we invite our existing top donors and companies willing to book a table at R 15 000 to enjoy a unique gala dinner where you can actually treat 10 guests and choose a Celeb couple to be allocated to your table.
We have been hosting this event for 19 years and we are proud to acknowledge that 70% of our guests are always the loyal supporters from previous years that do not want to miss out on this exciting evening. It also enables our donors to meet the beneficiaries they support as we always have performances where our children join in the entertainment with complimenting performances by talented volunteering musicians.

Although the Afrikaans Fiesta program has been covering the event for 6 years on Kyknet, we feel that 90% of the program takes place in English and any channel should be proud to share this glamorous goodwill-event with their viewers.
